Thanks Bill. Help me out here - How do you know it's an SM9? I did a cursory search and couldn't find a guide to the differences between the "models." I've always assumed segment shift = SM9. For some reason, I lost my confidence in that equation today.
It's an SM9 because of the keyset tabulator (set & clear to either side of the spacebar). The SM8 has movable tab stops in the back. Both are segment-shifted; earlier SM's are basket shift.
I can't wait to see your post with the Erika. :) It's interesting what can change in only a few months, because in the time since then I've had a couple of very good Erika experiences and now they rank among my favorite machines…which means I'm looking out for an Erika 9 again, of course. XD
Well Nick, I *had* planned to do a photo shoot this afternoon. Then the clouds rolled in and we were treated to thunderstorms. I'll have to look for time one afternoon this week. I'm also planning to take the #9 to the upcoming type-in. I'm sure it will be a hit.
Score! It certainly is your turn for a nice run of finds. (:
ReplyDeleteI love how these SM's have been showing up with their cleaning kits intact...
Congrats on the great looking SM9! Can't beat that price--SM9 for 10 bucks!!!
