The vast majority of machines I have come by have been essentially intact, though occasionally suffering from decayed rubber in the platen, pinch roller and footwear departments. Thanks Rob! I've already got a length of rubber tubing I can use to make more washers If I need them. I suppose I'll need to start a typewriter-specific toolbox.
